The Star Wars v29.40 update will commence very soon in Fortnite, and it will introduce plenty of new content. If the name isn’t a clear indicator, the upcoming update will be a favorite of Star Wars lovers. However, Fortnite servers are scheduled to go down before the update goes live. Here’s when the server downtime begins in Fortnite.
When Will the Fortnite Star Wars v29.40 Update Downtime begin?

This is extremely important as matchmaking will be stopped prior to the maintenance, and all servers will be taken down across every platform. The Fortnite Star Wars v29.40 Update downtime will start at 4 AM ET on May 3.
This is pretty much the usual schedule that the developers have followed for a long time. In fact, update v29.30 started at the same time, during the last week of April. Do note that matchmaking will be stopped before 4 AM ET, so it’s best to conclude your gaming sessions ahead of time.
When Will the Fortnite Star Wars v29.40 Update Downtime End?
The developers haven’t yet announced the ending time, but it should take at least a few hours. Do note that maintenance can be extended on short notice, so this is something to keep in mind.
All Fortnite Star Wars v29.40 Update Content
As mentioned earlier, this update will be a dream for all Star Wars lovers. Epic Games has left no stone unturned while planning this collaboration. There will be themed events, including rewards inspired by Star Wars. The events will also feature a new Lego Pass, and there’s the new Billie Eilish skin as well. Additionally, the latest update might reveal some of the things to come during the current season.
Players will have the additional choice of spending on different bundles, which will be part of this collaboration. All bundles will be purchasable with the help of V-Bucks, but some of them could be very expensive. Once the maintenance is over, players will be able to dive right in to explore all the content.
