Version 3.5 for Genshin Impact doesn’t bring any new big content, but the usual big events will always be around. And since we got a free character last time, they’re handing us a free weapon this time around with Mailed Flower, the ultimate reward for participating in this year’s Windblume Festival.
This 4-star Greatsword is another limited-time-only weapon introduced during this event, and while being somewhat niche, it can fit some teams pretty nicely due to its solid passive and stats. Here’s all you need to know about it.
Mailed Flower Incision Weapon Overview
Base ATK | 44 (at Lvl 1), 565 (at Lvl 90) |
Substat | Elemental Mastery |
Base C.DMG | 24 (at Lvl 1), 100 (at Lvl 90) |
Passive Description | Within 8s after the character’s Elemental Skill hits an opponent or the character triggers an Elemental Reaction, their ATK and Elemental Mastery will be increased by 12 ~24 % and 48 ~ 96 respectively. |
Having a similar passive to Windblume Ode, this is a good call for enabler-type characters who thrive on creating Elemental Reactions. While Claymore users who fit this role are considerably fewer than with other weapon types, some characters still can have good success with it.

Best Characters for Mailed Flower in Genshin Impact
There are not many Claymore users with Elemental Mastery scaling, but the weapon’s substats are still useful thanks to its passive. And these guys and gals right here can make it work quite well.
1 – Diluc
Once the poster boy for Pyro, Diluc has fallen out of grace and was power crept by more powerful characters such as Hu Tao and Yoimiya. He’s still far from useless though, and since his best teams are usually Vaporize/Melt comps, Mailed Flower works wonders for him if you don’t have any other 5-star Weapon for him. It also synergizes well with his constellations, and you might have gotten some of those against your will.
2 – Razor
Ok, so hear me out. EM Razor builds are quite strong and work very well. It’s strange to think of that since he’s physical-oriented, but easy to see working out considering his insane Electro application with his Burst. Well, this weapon fits this niche team greatly, so you might wanna check it out.
3 – Beidou
While she’s not as popular for Dendro reaction teams as her fellow 4-stars Kuki Shinobu and Fischl, she still does a great job in that role, especially in multi-target situations where her Burst can really shine. With enough ER, she can keep the weapon’s passive up indefinitely, or until your enemies are gone.
4 – Chongyun
The ice cream boy’s in a similar boat to Beidou, but he does excel at some Melt teams. If you really like to use him and wanna see more of those big numbers on his Burst, that’s definitely your weapon.
Honorable Mentions
Sayu’s the only actual Claymore user with EM scaling, but it only gets REALLY worth building her like that after she reaches C6. And even so, it might be still better to just use Energy Recharge on her weapon if you’re building her.
Dori has some interactions with Elemental Reactions, but similar to Sayu, you’re probably better off with Energy Recharge on her weapon. Dehya and Xinyan could work on Burgeon teams with this, but both of the girls just don’t apply enough Pyro for that, so the final result would most likely be lackluster.
All Ascension Materials for Mailed Flower
Weapons take quite a toll on your resources for maxing out. Luckily, the event will hand you some of the materials for free, but you still need to hunt for most of them.
In summary, you’ll need a total of:
x3 Fetters of the Dandelion Gladiator
x9 Chains of the Dandelion Gladiator
x9 Shackles of the Dandelion Gladiator
x4 Dream of the Dandelion Gladiator
x15 Desiccated Shell
x18 Sturdy Shell
x27 Marked Shell
x10 Spectral Husk
x15 Spectral Heart
x18 Spectral Nucleus
With all that and the necessary Enhancement Ores in hand, you’ll be spending around 900k Mora for getting the weapon up to 90. Costs can be alleviated a bit by leveling it during the event, though.
Dandelion Gladiator Ascension Material
Mondstadt Weapon Materials can be all obtained from Cecilia Garden. The chains are dropped on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, but you may also have some of them from any previous Mondstadt-related events, which usually give them out as rewards. In case you’re farming it, just bring any Cryo characters and you’re good.
Where to Get Desiccated Shells
Those are dropped from the Consecrated Beasts in the Desert of Hadramaveth. They’re quite sparse in the area, and many of them are in quest-locked areas, so if you haven’t explored the desert yet, it might be time to do it. Take a look at our article for some of the best spots you can hunt them.

Where to Get Spectral Husks
Specters are the nemesis of any innocent player who ever thought that leveling that character/weapon would be cozy and quick. They’re annoying, hard to hit, and have an abysmal drop rate, so you’ll be chasing them all over Inazuma, more specifically in Seirai and Watatsumi Islands, and probably for a few days. Use your Adventurer Book for an easier time.
You can also buy all of those items in the Paimon Bargains shop for some Masterless Starglitter. The highest-ranking items are locked behind Masterless Stardust, which is better spent with extra rolls, so don’t go for those unless you REALLY can’t face those specters anymore.
