Understanding Resources

As we stated above, resources are an important piece of the complex puzzle that is Ghost Recon Wildlands. You’ll need these precious items to unlock new skills and new weapons. If you want to become adept at finding these items, you’re going to need to know what to look for.

Currently there are four types of resources available to players in Ghost Recon Wildlands. We’ve listed them below.

  • Medicine
  • Food
  • Gasoline
  • Comm Tools

Each of the different resources can be found in different containers, which will help you mark what kind of resource they are.

Medicine is found in medical style crates, which are often stacked atop each other.

Food is often found inside of crates.

Gasoline will be found inside of oil drums that are scattered around the game world.

Comm Tools can often be found inside of plastic crates with computer monitors attached to them.

To tag a crate and collect the resources, all you need to do is approach the container and press and hold E or X on the Xbox One controller.

How to Find Resources Easily

Now that you know how resources work, and what types of resources there are, let’s talk about how you find these items. While you can find these items spread around the map, the easiest way to find lots of resources is to find and collect Intel, which are collectible items hidden throughout the game world. When finding these various pieces of Intel you can decide which type of intel you want to mark on your map. These will often give you the option of Resource Raids, Rebel Ops, or Skill Points. Select Resource Raids to have missions that will give you vast amounts of resources mapped out on your TACMAP.

Once you’ve marked the Resource Raids, head to the location, clear out the area, and then complete the objective tied to that side mission. This will reward you with the resources that correspond with each mission.
