Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands gives players an astounding amount of room to choose how they want to approach each situation that they run into. One of the best ways to do this is to sneak around enemy encampments, taking them out with your sniper rifle. In this article we’ll show you where to find the best sniper scope in Ghost Recon Wildlands, the T5Xi Tactical.
We’ve labeled the T5Xi Tactical scope as the best sniper rifle scope for one main reason, it has the highest zoom within the game, offering a total magnification of up to 6 times normal weapon zoom.
While this attachment isn’t actually found until much later in the game, as it is hidden in one of the most dangerous provinces in the game, we’ll show you how to approach and easily acquire it early on, to make sure you have a great scope to go with your sniper rifles.
The T5Xi Tactical Sniper Scope can only be found within the Koani Province, up by the Huertas Mine. As we stated above, this is a long way away from the Itacua Province, where you begin the game, but there is a way to get there quite easily from the start.
First, locate yourself a helicopter. There are quite a few of these around the province, so you shouldn’t have too hard of a time finding one. If you do, be sure to check the various Rally Points around the starting area, as they often offer easy access to vehicles like helicopters and Jeeps.
Once you have the helicopter, locate the Huertas Mine in the province of Koani. Just look out for the same location we have marked on our map below.
With the area marked on your Tacmap, take off and begin making your way there. You’re going to pass over a lot of enemies along the way, so stay high and keep an eye out on your map for UNIDAD helicopter’s patrolling the skies.
You’ll want to locate the rise just west of the Huertas Mine, and set down there. You’ll need to approach from this direction, and while there aren’t any active enemies down at the mine, some Sicario or UNIDAD patrols might come along the road to the north, so keep an eye out. You should also be sure to check the area for any enemies with your drone, just to be safe.
Once you are sure the area is clear, head down the hills and into the mine area. The accessory box that you’re searching for can be found along the northwest side of the compound, inside of one of the shipping containers. Open it up to acquire your scope, and then be sure to equip it to your sniper rifle of choice.
