How to Find all Hidden Chambers
It should be noted that you won’t be able to get into Hidden Chamber right away when the game begins. Make sure you follow our guide on how to unlock Hidden Chambers to learn the secrets behind unlocking these magical doors.
While you can start unlocking the Hidden Chambers after a certain point in the story, we’d suggest waiting until you have beaten the main campaign, as many of these chambers include some of the toughest boss fights you’ll undertake in the game, so you’ll want to be ready for them.
There is a total of seven Hidden Chambers to be found across God of War’s three main realms. Here are the regions that you’ll find them in:
- The River Pass
- Foothills
- The Mountain
- Thamur’s Corpse
- Wildwoods
- Helheim
- Alfheim
Now that you know what regions to search for these Hidden Chambers in, let’s dive into where you’ll find each one.
Hidden Chamber #1
The first Hidden Chamber in God of War can be found within the Wildwoods, during the first mission. You won’t be able to open it at first, so return to Kratos and Atreus’ home once you finish the main campaign. Clear out the black vines blocking the wooden ladder at the house, then climb up and drop into the area. There are a few enemies to take out, so deal with them and then drop down into the next area to find this Hidden Chamber’s door.
Hidden Chamber #2
The next Hidden Chamber is found in the Witch’s Cave, just below the Witch’s House. Search for the entrance while traveling along the River Pass and prepare for the fight inside, as you’ll find one of the game’s eight Valkyries inside.
Hidden Chamber #3
The third Hidden Chamber can be found in The Mountain. Head into The Mountain until you reach a massive open cavern—where you had to ride the claw machine up to the top during the main campaign—and then look for this Hidden Chamber’s door on the right-side of the area.
Hidden Chamber #4
To find the fourth Hidden Chamber, make your way to the Foothills, near where you first meet Sindri. Head up the path that leads to The Mountain, and then move past Sindri and take a left. Climb up the wall here, and then follow the new path along instead of going to the left. This will lead you through a cavern that leads to another climbing area. Turn right here and head into the cave to find this Hidden Chamber’s door.
Hidden Chamber #5
You’ll find the next Hidden Chamber near Thamur’s Corpse. This Hidden Chamber’s entrance can be found between two of the giant’s fingers. Use the Magic Chisel piece on it to unlock it and face off against the Valkyrie inside.
Hidden Chamber #6
The second to last Hidden Chamber can be found in Alfheim, near the ringed temple. After you get the boat, head through the channel until you approach the lake. Once here, turn to the left and you’ll eventually come to a small beach area with two caverns on the right-hand side. The cave with the horseshoe-shapes statue out front will lead you to the Hidden Chamber, which contains another Valkyrie for you to face off against.
Hidden Chamber #7
The last Hidden Chamber is found in the cold reaches of Helheim. After beating the main campaign, head back to Helheim and make your way down the main path, past a set of double doors. Once you exit through the doors, head onto the main portion of the bridge to Hel and then look to your left to spot a group of roots that Atreus can shoot to destroy. Continue beyond the now destroyed roots and follow the path to find this Hidden Chamber at the end.
