The compilation of remakes of the first two titles of the Advance Wars series is coming soon to the Nintendo Switch. These are the games that Western audiences only know from the Game Boy Advance era, but the series actually has a very long and rich history, at least in Japan, going back to the 80s. The two most popular titles – Advance Wars (2001) and Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising (2003) have their campaigns completely redone in 3D with new animated graphics, as well as a new level editor and even online multiplayer.
Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp will be a great package for all old-school gamers and any new fans of turn-based strategies with Nintendo’s recognizable style. But, how big is the game’s file size?

How Big is Advance Wars 1+2? Re-Boot Camp File Size?
As is often the case when new Switch games are announced and their pre-orders become available, many players start wondering how much space the new game will take up on their Switch console – will they need to upgrade their memory card? As far as Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp is concerned, the situation is not so dramatic. This full 3D remake of two Game Boy Advance games takes up only 6.7GB. This is the space that you will easily free up on the console itself, without the need for a large additional Micro SD card.

The Advance Wars remake collection will get a physical edition as well, but the players who decide to go for the digital version won’t have an issue with the space required. The only potential concern for some could be the full asking price of $59.99, but at this point, that’s something we’ve grown accustomed to with Nintendo and their first-party titles.
Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp releases exclusively for Nintendo Switch on April 20, 2023.
