As you continue your journey through the wilds of the west in Red Dead Redemption 2, you’re bound to find yourself with several Hunting Requests to fill out. One such Hunting Requests tasks players with finding a Blue Jay in Red Dead Redemption 2. This isn’t an easy task unless you know exactly where to look. Today, we’re going to show you how to find a Blue Jay in Red Dead Redemption 2 to make your time with the game just a bit easier.
Where to Find the Blue Jay
There are a lot of different places that players can find a Blue Jay in Red Dead Redemption 2, though not all of them are guaranteed to have the bird in that location all of the time. If you’d rather search for yourself—and just know the general areas—then you can look around places like Rhodes, the Van Horn Trading Post, and other towns in the game for a chance to find a Blue Jay waiting for you to snag it. However, if you’d like to know an exact location that you have a higher chance of finding a Blue Jay at, then keep reading.
Thanks to a video from YouTuber, FP, we now know that a Blue Jay can often be found close to the Dakota River. Make your way to the eastern side of the river, just to the north of Diablo Ridge, and look out for a set of five rocks along the riverbank. Here you can often wait and find a Blue Jay perched upon the rocks. If you don’t find the bird here right away, then leave the area and wait a bit before coming back. It seems to spawn in pretty regularly, though, and we’ve heard reports of it being found here quite often when searching the area.
You should be able to find the Blue Jay and complete the Hunting Request without much trouble now.
