How to Get the Hyperdrive Technology

With your first base built and your adventure off to a nice start, you’ll receive a new emergency broadcast from a nearby space station. Make your way to it and start asking around by talking to the various aliens you find here. At some point, one of them will decode the message your received, giving you new coordinates to travel to.

Now that you have the new coordinates in hand, it’s time to make your way to the distress beacon, which should be marked on your HUD. Travel down to the planet with the signal and look around for a massive crash site. This is where you’ll find the first bit of the hyperdrive technology. Land nearby, then head to the marked item and extract the blueprint.

Now that you have the blueprint, it’s time to craft the Hyperdrive.

Craft the Hyperdrive and Install it

Once you have the blueprint, you’re going to need to gather a few items before you can craft it and get moving. First, you’re going to need to get your hands on 125 Chromatic Metal. You can learn how to get Chromatic Metal with our useful guide.

After you get your hands on the Chromatic Metal, head to the nearest space station and purchase 5 Microprocessors. With both items in tow, hop in your ship, head to the ship module in your inventory and then craft the Hyperdrive. This will give you the technology. Make sure you put it in a tech slot, though, otherwise you’ll cost yourself an inventory slot.

Now that you know how to craft the hyperdrive, it’s time to learn how to get Antimatter, which you’ll need in order to fuel the hyperdrive. Thankfully it isn’t that difficult to get, so you shouldn’t have too much of an issue.
