Sword and Shield have brought a plethora of new Pokemon for trainers to battle and catch. However, the latest entries in the legendary franchise also have brought back plenty of characters from past games. One of these veteran creatures is Persian, and players have been curious as to how exactly you can get Persian in the new titles. Fortunately, we have everything you need to know to get Persian covered.
How to Get Persian in Pokemon Sword and Shield
Unfortunately, the only way you can get this particular creature in the newest games is by catching a Meowth and evolving it. You will find the evolved feline character out in the wild ready to be caught. Individuals who can catch a Meowth will be able to get Persian when their Mewoth evolves at level 28.
One guaranteed way of obtaining a Mewoth is by catching a Galarian Meowth and then making your way to Turrfield Stadium on Route 4. There will be a child with a blue jacket who is looking for a Galarian Meowth. This child will trade you his regular Meowth for your Galarian version. Only regular Meowths can evolve into Persians, as the Galarian version evolves into a character known as Perrserker.
The evolved form of Meowth is a normal-type and is weak against fighting-types.
