In Ghost of Tsushima, there are a variety of Mythic Tales to complete, each one rewarding you with a special item. During the Mythic Tale, The Legend of Tayadori, you have the opportunity to add a fancy set of armor to your collection.
All of the armor in Ghost of Tsushima boasts its own set of unique benefits, with Tayadori’s Armor serving as a complement to the game’s collection of bows.
How to Get Tayadori’s Armor in Ghost of Tsushima
To get Tayadori’s Armor in Ghost of Tsushima, you’ll need to work your way through the Mythic Tale, The Legend of Tayadori. To do this, you’re going to want to complete the first Mythic Tale, Curse of Uchitsune.
After you’ve completed this, you’ll earn the Longbow and will see the next blue marker on your map leading you to the Mythic Tale, The Legend of Tayadori.
To start, you’ll need to head to Rustling Bend and speak with Yamato to hear the story of Tayadori. After that, travel to the marked area in northern Azamo.
To save time, you can always fast travel to a nearby location like the Ariake Bamboo Strike.
When you reach northern Azamo, look for the area covered in violet chrysanthemum flowers. When you spot them, climb up the rocky cliff area nearby and follow the flower path up to the top.
There, you’ll find the Violet Crown. Examine the area to grab the map to Tayadori’s Rest.
With the map in hand, head to the next location marked on your map. You’ll find the entrance to Tayadori’s Rest north of Houren’s Pasture.
The entrance can be hard to miss, but it’s a small hole crawl through next to a lamp similar to the one on the map.
Crawl through the hole, then make your way through the cliff area to Tayadori’s Rest. The area is a cemetery, and you’ll need to explore it and examine different gravestones.
When you’ve finished examining the gravestones, you’ll be confronted by a woman named Kaede.
You’ll need to fight Kaede in order to continue. The battle isn’t particularly difficult, just keep an eye out for the orange attack and when she begins to ready her strike as it can deal a fair amount of damage.
After defeating Kaede, you’ll need to travel to Azamo Bay. Again, if you’ve been in this area prior, you can fast travel to a nearby point if you wish.
In Azamo Bay, you’ll stumble across Yamato who’s been captured by a band of Mongols. Defeat them, then speak to Yamato.
He’ll tell you that Tayadori’s Armor is hidden under a nearby statue (next to the supply of arrows). Investigate the statue to obtain Tayadori’s Armor.
Note that you’re not done just yet as another band of Mongols will attack. Unlike the first group, this group contains several archers.
Given the nearby supply of arrows and the fact that Tayadori’s Armor is beneficial to archers, you’re going to want to use your bow to pick off these enemies. Think of it as giving Tayadori’s Armor a test spin.
When all of the Mongols are defeated, you’ll have finished The Legend of Tayadori and are free to keep Tayadori’s Armor.
Tayadori’s Armor provides a number of benefits to bow users including a 15% increase in nocking and reload speed, an increase in Concentration by 1 second, and a 25% restoration of your Concentration meter when you land a headshot.
As with other armor, you can upgrade Tayadori’s Armor to improve these benefits and the look of the armor as a whole.
