If you’re having trouble finding your free Yule Log, we’ve got you covered with a quick guide explaining where to find it.

How to Get the Yule Log in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

To get your free Yule Log decoration in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you’ll first need to make sure you’ve finished downloading the holiday update. After that, make your way over to your mailbox.

Inside the mailbox, you’ll find a letter from Nintendo. By opening this letter and accepting the gift that comes with it, you’ll be able to unwrap your very own Yule Log.

To do this, all you need to do is open up your inventory, select the gift, open it, and the Yule Log item will become available to you to place wherever you like.

Looking for an example? Well, we’re putting together a festive room in our home that feels rustic, cozy, warm, and welcoming.

We placed the Yule Log on a table as a centerpiece, and we also experimented with having it on the floor on its own.

It looks pretty nice when propped up on a table and it really brings the whole room together.

Of course, that’s how we’ve been working with our new Yule Log. What you decide to do with your Yule Log is entirely up to you.

To recap, the Yule Log is a free gift sent to you by Nintendo as part of the holiday update.

To get it, all you need to do is open up your mailbox, open the letter, and then open up the gift in your inventory.
