Realm Royale is still in the early stages of development, and the developers at Hi-Rez Studios have been busy tuning and tweaking the game based on player feedback. Each patch update for Realm Royale is tested on the Public Test Server (PTS) first before being released onto the regular live servers.
Hi-Rez actively encourages players to participate in the public tests so that they can gain feedback directly from the Realm Royale community. This guide will briefly explain how to join the Realm Royale PTS for those who want to participate in the game’s development.
How to Join the Realm Royale PTS
Joining the Realm Royale PTS is quite simple. First, start by visiting the Realm Royale store page on Steam. On the front, just above the “Play Game” button, look for a Notice box.
In the box, click on the hyperlink text that says “Click here.” Doing so will open up a new window that will allow you to download the Realm Royale PTS. This will add the Public Test Server for Realm Royale to your Steam library.
To access the Realm Royale PTS, navigate to your Steam library and look for “Realm Royale – Test Server” on the list of options. If you need additional help, check out the how-to video from Hi-Rez below.
Keep in mind that the Realm Royale PTS isn’t always available to use, as it is only open during testing periods. The PTS typically goes live in the days leading up to a patch update, giving testers enough time to try out the upcoming features and provide feedback before the patch goes live.
