Overkill’s The Walking Dead is finally here, giving players every excuse they need to dive in and start ransacking their way through the apocalypse. Though the game focuses on cooperative play, users will also have the option to play solo in The Walking Dead game. While this will provide more of a challenge, it’s also a good way to get used to the way the game works. This article will teach you how to easily switch between public and solo mode in Overkill’s The Walking Dead.
How to Play Solo
Playing solo in Overkill’s The Walking Dead can be a great way to build up your survivors and camp supplies. If we’re frank, though, we’d suggest playing the game in cooperative mode, even if you have to play it with other random players. But, if you do want to play in solo mode, and try to take on the zombie hordes on your own, there is a way.
To set up solo mode you’re going to want to load into the game and head to the map. Once here, instead of selecting a mission, locate the party area in the bottom right-hand area of the screen. This is where you can see your current party members, as well as invite new members.
Click on this area and then wait for it to bring up the party screen. From here you can easily change your game from a Public game to a Solo game. Running solo will allow you to play the game alone or with friends, basically creating a private game for you to run around in. Keep in mind that you’ll still need to be connected to the internet to play Overkill’s The Walking Dead, and disconnecting at any point will cause you to be booted out of the game and back to the main menu.
