Rainbow Six Siege opened itself to a public market for all its cosmetics and skins when Ubisoft released its Rainbow Six Siege Marketplace. Players can now buy and sell most of the cosmetics in the game by using the game’s premium currency. This guide will show you how the marketplace works and how you can buy and sell items.
How to Buy Skins in the Rainbow Six Siege Marketplace
The Rainbow Six Siege Marketplace is accessed through Ubisoft’s official website. Upon opening the link, you’ll go through R6 Siege’s marketplace to log in to your UPlay account. You can find three tabs: Buy, Sell, and My Listings.
Note: You need to have a Clearance Level 25 to use the marketplace. You must play a few Rainbow Six Siege games to level up.
To buy or browse the selection of cosmetics, go to buy. You’ll see all the listings arranged by item. You can look at each item and see three categories: Last sold, Sale orders, and Purchase orders.
If the sale order is 0, it means that no one is selling that particular item, and if the purchase order is 0, no one is buying the item. When you want to buy an item with sale orders, you want to place a purchase order at a specific price you are willing to pay for the item.
If your order goes through, it’ll automatically credit your account with the skin and deduct the R6S Credits. This manual purchase is only for those who want to go for a lower price than the cheapest one available. You can always buy the cheapest one if you need it.
How to Sell Skins in the Rainbow Six Siege Marketplace
Selling works the same way, but you are the one on the other end. Go to the “Sell” tab, and the marketplace will automatically fetch all your eligible or marketable items on the website. You’ll see all your items, and you can go through them one by one to sell them.
The same information (compared to the buying tab) will be displayed for each item, and you should play around with the last sold price point. Choose an item you want to sell and set a sale order for a specific price. If the price matches any purchase order prices, you’ll sell the item, and your account will be credited with the corresponding R6S Credits.
Most players don’t need all their cosmetics, and at this point, nobody has dupe items since dupes instantly turn into Renown when you get an item you already own inside the game. If you want to sell your items to purchase a Battle Pass or something else from the R6S shop, you should go for it.
You get the premium in-game currency for the sale, and you can purchase all the elite bundles, skins, uniforms, charms, and everything else. Most of the items from the in-game store aren’t marketable, so this is your chance to get them without paying a cent.
You can even use your leftover R6S Credits to buy the best operators you have missing on your roster.
