The Enigma Protocol is a new repeatable activity for Destiny 2: The Final Shape players that can offer a lot of loot in a relatively short time if geared up properly. Here is how to complete the Enigma Protocol in Destiny 2.
How to Find Enigma Protocol Activity in Destiny 2
Destiny 2 players can unlock the Enigma Protocol by first completing the Encoded Log quest given by HELM Failsafe. The quest will take players through the first half of the activity.
While players would have to travel to Nessus to complete the Encoded Log quest, it is not necessary every time. The Enigma Protocol can be started from the HELM after finishing the initial quest.
How to Complete Enigma Protocol in Destiny 2
The Enigma Protocol is a series of obstacle courses and battle arenas. Players will be switching between platforming sections and regular Destiny 2-styled fights all on a timer, and running out of time will fail the activity.
Players can extend the timer by destroying the diamond-shaped Network Security Nodes and defeating occasional Archival Timekeeper enemies. It is also important to be near or at the 2005 Power level to stand a chance of clearing enemies in a timely fashion.
The activity will start with a platforming section, then players will have to charge Radiolite Circuits for the next section. One player will have to take the circuit and stand in glowing pools to charge it, while other players take out enemies.
The next battle after a platforming section will have players fighting nine Denial Agents with shields. There will be enemies that will drop orbs when defeated, so throw the orbs at the floating Denial Agents to destroy them.
After a third platforming section will be the safe room and halfway point. Players will receive a chest and two options: enter the portal to continue on or reset the activity and repeat the first half. The remaining time will tick down if choosing to continue on.
There will be one more encounter and a boss fight separated by more platforming sections for the second half. The encounter will require players to break 20 Vex Encryption Pods to collect data. Shoot the glowing white orbs around the arena to spawn pink drops that is the data. These orbs will continually respawn, so keep moving and shooting.
The boss fight is the final encounter and will have a large health bar that may be hard for teams without much time left. Teams that have struggled with the previous encounters may have to give up and gear up more. One of the newest weapons in the Destiny 2: the Final Shape expansion is the Microcosm Exotic Trace Rifle, which can be useful to clear out groups.
