One of the best ways to bring in high-end loot, earn cash, and level up quickly in Escape From Tarkov is by completing the various quests provided to you by the vendors. Here is how to complete Gunsmith Part 1 in Escape From Tarkov.
How to Complete Gunsmith Part 1 in Escape from Tarkov
The Gunsmith series of quests typically involves finding a usable weapon in a raid and then customizing it to meet the precise specifications of the gunsmith. You will add scopes, stocks, laser attachments, and other additions to ensure your reward.
With Gunsmith Part 1, the first and easiest step in the long-running questline, you must track down an MP-133, one of the most common shotguns in the game, and ensure the following are true:
- 60 Durability
- 47 or Higher Ergonomics (Zenit RK-6 Tactical Foregrip)
- 850 or Less Recoil (12GA Muzzle Break)
- 4 or Fewer Cells of Space (MP-133/135 Plastic Pistol Grip)
- Extended Magazine (5 or more shells)
- Tactical Device (Laser, Light, etc.)
Now, that’s a tall order for a brand-new PMC to the world of Tarkov. It’s an expensive order if you intend to trade or buy everything from the Flea Market (which doesn’t unlock until level 15 now).
Unfortunately, it’ll be a bit of a grind to find all of the necessary components. My advice is to scour Customs. It’s one of the best maps for tracking down the MP-133, as many of the Scavs here carry one. Then, check the various military crates. You can find wooden crates scattered about the map, but your best chances are at:
- 2-Story Dorms (1st and 2nd Floors)
- 3-Story Dorms (2nd and 3rd Floors)
- Construction
- Military Outpost (In the hills above the gas station)
Gunsmith Part 1 Quest Rewards
For finishing Gunsmith Part 1 in Escape From Tarkov, you will receive the following quest rewards:
- 800 EXP
- +0.01 Mechanic Rep
- 10,000 Rubles
- x1 Screw Nuts
- x1 Bolts
- x20 12/70 Makeshift .50 BMG Slug
- Unlocks the AR-15 Windham Weaponry Rail Gas Block
Considering the complexity and grind involved with many of the quests in this game, Gunsmith is among the easiest questlines to tackle. It’s also a lot of fun to customize weapons and see what works with certain builds you can then use for yourself.
If you’re desperately trying to complete Gunsmith Part 1 but continuously receiving a Bad Gateway Error, here’s what that means.
