Lord of the Waterway Walkthrough in Resident Evil 4 Separate Ways DLC
The “Lord of the Waterway” Merchant Request can be found in Chapter 5 of Separate Ways while exploring Gregorio’s Waterway and following Luis Sera’s helpful messages.
During the progression of the DLC’s story, you will have to turn a valve to drain the waterway in order to progress. Once you have lowered the water level in Gregorio’s Waterway, you can find the fish required to complete the request.
Once you have turned the valve, head back to Luis’ message that says “SPLISH SPLASH” on the ground in red letters.
Jump down into the waterway below, which can now be explored.
Head through the tunnel in the wall, but be warned, danger is ahead.
Keep a lookout for Novistadores and Ganados, as the area is swarming with enemies.
Once in the Waterway’s tunnel, take the leftward path and you will encounter more Ganados and Novistadores. I personally found it best to use the tunnel as a choke point, preventing Ada from being surrounded by enemies.
Once they have been dealt with, head toward the wall behind the enemies to find an easily missed hole in the wall. Crouch and proceed through to the other side.
Once you have crawled under the wall, a massive fish will be swimming directly in front of you, this is the Lord of the Waterway.
The Lord of the Waterway can be found in the exact location pictured on the map above.
Similarly to the main game of Resident Evil 4, simply use a knife or shoot the fish, which will die in one hit from any weapon. You must then add the Lord of the Waterway to your inventory, but be warned, as you might have to make space due to the fish’s inordinately large size.
Return to the Merchant and sell the fish for 8,000 Pesetas, which will complete the side mission.
Finishing the Lord of the Waterway Merchant Request will net players an impressive Spinel x8, as well as the aforementioned Peseta reward.
