Before you can reach the Abattoir of Zir in Diablo 4, you need to craft a Bloodforged Sigil, but it won’t be as easy as speaking to an Occultist for most players. You must conquer the Season of Blood and have some Sigil Powder on hand, which I’ll explain in this guide.
Diablo 4: How to Get a Bloodforged Sigil
To get a Bloodforged Sigil, you need to complete the Season Journey in the Season of Blood and then craft it at an Occultist with 800 Sigil Powder. Most players who are looking for the Abattoir of Zir won’t need to worry about the powder requirement, though. Instead, it will be the Season Journey that causes the most headaches.
Getting through the Season Journey means reaching level 100, completing a tier 90 Nightmare Dungeon, defeating Uber Lilith, and so on. You can only skip one challenge in the final chapter of the Journey, so there is no way to skip the requirements in the Season of Blood without some real effort or friends to help out.
How to Craft Bloodforged Sigils
- Complete the Season Journey for the Season of Blood.
- Go to an Occultist and open the Ancestral tab.
- Spend 800 Sigil Powder for a Tier 1 Bloodforged Sigil.
Once you have the Season Journey out of the way, you can head to an Occultist in any major city like Ked Bardu or Kyovashad. There will only be one option in the Ancestral tree to craft a Tier 1 Bloodforged Sigil. It only requires 800 Sigil Powder; weirdly enough, you don’t need to have any Exquisite Blood on hand.
Craft the Sigil and then activate it to enter the Abattoir of Zir. You can technically enter the portal for the Abattoir in Ked Bardu, but you won’t be able to get past the first walkway. Those of you who can complete tier 1 will have access to the tier 2 Bloodforged Sigil, and they increase to tier 25.
Don’t head into the Abattoir of Zir blind; make sure you know how to beat the Pinnacle Dungeon before wasting a Sigil.
