String is a valuable early-game item in the world of Enshrouded, but it can be surprisingly cumbersome to craft. Let’s find out what we’ll need to get our hands on some String, and some good uses for it.
How To Make String in Enshrouded
If you’re looking to make plenty of String, you’ll need to get your hands on some Plant Fibers. For every 3 Plant Fibers, you’ll receive a wound spool of String, which can be used to get plenty of new equipment ready for your warrior.
While chopping down trees can give you plenty of wood and other materials, Plant Fibers will be found in the small sproutlings that are throughout the world. Walk up to any small tree and see if the option to Harvest springs to life, which will normally net you Plant Fibers and Twigs. Both of these materials are great crafting tools, especially if you’re hoping to make a Bow or similar items.
Once you have gotten Plant Fibers, enter the Crafting Menu and find String. Create as many spools as needed, and use this to craft some more intricate items. I would strongly recommend getting a Bow as quickly as possible, as taking down certain enemies from a distance can save you plenty of time — and plenty of trips back to your dead body to pick up your materials.
On the subject of Strings and Bows, if you’re hoping to craft one of your own, keep harvesting those Saplings, as you’ll need the following materials to craft a bow of your own:
- 5 Twigs
- 1 String
Arrows are rather easy to craft, as well, so you’ll always be stocked up and ready for action when the time comes. Enshrouded can be difficult at times, so ensuring that you’ve gotten your hands on anything that can turn the tides in your favor is worth the time and effort.
