A new Warlord has appeared in the Zombies mode for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 named Keres, and can be one of the hardest enemies to fight if not prepared. Here is where to find and how to defeat the Keres Warlord in MW3 Zombies.
How to Find Keres Warlord in MW3 Zombies
The Keres Warlord can be found in a warehouse within Orlov Military Base. The Warlord’s stronghold will be located on the map in the tier 1 clear zone near the G2 coordinate.
The warehouse will be surrounded by sentries, soldiers, snipers, and red poison gas thrown at you. The fortress itself is locked and requires a Fortress Keycard, similar to the Dokkaebi and Legacy Warlords before. Here is how to quickly get one:
- Get a Stronghold Keycard by completing a Mercenary Camp, Mercenary Convoy, or purchasing from the Buy Station for 2,000 Essence.
- Use the keycard to enter any Mercenary Stronghold on the map, clear it out, and drill the safe inside.
- Obtain the Fortress Keycard item from the safe.
How to Defeat Keres Warlord in MW3 Zombies
Clearing out the base beforehand is not necessary, as enemies will continue to respawn. Blitz your way through one entrance and use the keycard to enter the fortress.
Players should come equipped with Armor Plates, multiple Gas Masks, at least one Self-Revive Kit, and Level 2 or 3 Pack-A-Punched weapons. Having teammates will also make the fight easier and smoother.
The layout inside the warehouse is reminiscent of the Kill House or Training Facility maps with high walls and sections. Keres will be enveloped in red smoke that will harm players, so Gas Masks are a must. She will constantly move about the room, so get into the smoke and pay attention to where the gunfire is coming from.
Teammates can be helpful by calling her out. Once marked, shoot her with as many bullets as possible to defeat her. Your masks and plates will drain quickly the longer the fight goes, so a complete blitzkrieg with your team can be the most efficient strategy.
Keres Warlord Reward in MW3 Zombies
Defeating the Keres Warlord will drop the Callous Weapon Blueprint for the MCW assault rifle. Players will need an open weapon slot to carry it before it can be extracted.
However, it is not a weapon blueprint that can be used in MW3 multiplayer and Warzone. The Callous is a contraband weapon that can be brought into future Zombies matches and can be lost if players die with it equipped with no Tombstone perk.
