How to Download and Use V Rising Camera Mod

Tune the camera to your needs.

Many V Rising players dislike the default camera settings set by the developers. Luckily enough, the modding community delivers once again, and we’ll show you what you need to do in order to get the Camera Mod up and running on your own V Rising game so that you can move the camera freely. Please note that this is doable only in Single Player and Private Server sessions, and not on the official servers.

How to Use Camera Mod in V Rising

We have prepared a short modding guide for you below:

  1. Download the Thunderstore Mod Manager from Overwolf.
  2. Select V Rising from the game list after the download and installation processes are complete. To keep things simple, pick the Default profile in the Profile Selection option (hit the Select Profile button).
  3. We advise you to download and install the BepInExPack for V Rising since it allows functionality to the majority of V Rising mods.
  4. Go to this link on the Thunderstore website, it will lead you to the ModernCamera mod that you will need to install.
  5. Find V Rising in your Steam Library and go to its Game Files (click on the Cog icon on the right side OR right click the game name from your Library, go to Local Files on the left side of the newly opened window, and then hit the Browse button on the right side of the window).
  6. A pop-up window will appear. Go to VRising_Data / StreamingAssets / Settings / InputSettings.json.
  7. Open this file with any available text editor that you have on your PC. Notepad is the default stock program supplied by Microsoft, but we recommend using Notepad++ – free software that provides a great overview of such game files (not just for V Rising).
  8. You now need to find the line “AnalogInputType”:”RotateCameraY” by either scrolling down or using the Ctrl+F command to find it, and then change the value of the “Modifier” line. There is a limit set at value “2″ so change it to that.
  9. Ctrl+S to save the file and then start your game again.
  10. Enjoy!
