Oxenfree is back, now with even more side content compared to the first game in the series. Thanks to Night School Studio’s newly introduced walkie-talkie system, Oxenfree II: Lost Signals allows players to engage with unseen, quirky NPCs and complete their unique side missions while exploring Camena. One such mission gives players the opportunity to accomplish tasks for a paranormal investigator named Hank, and the reward for completion is a very rare trophy called “I’ve Had Weirder Jobs,” which will be received upon bringing him a ghostly shoe. Here is everything you need to know about completing this odd job trophy in Oxenfree II: Los Signals.
I’ve Had Weirder Jobs Explained in Oxenfree II: Lost Signals
To save yourself from backtracking, the quickest way to earn the achievement is by bringing the shoe to Hank before he asks you for it. The spectral footwear is encountered on Horseshoe Beach, in a cave that you will explore during the main story.
Return to the cave you entered that was blocked by a boulder during the “hot/cold” game. This cave can be explored after placing the second or third transmitter (depending on which order you decided) at Tootega Falls.
Inside the cave, you can pick up the shoe of someone that was trapped in the cave, which will be needed later when meeting Hank.
Hank can be encountered via walkie-talkie at the Garland Ghost Town’s post office, which he has rigged with cameras and equipment.
After conversing with him following a mishap with his cameras when entering the deserted Post Office, Hank asks you to use his EMF boosters to take a picture of something for his book, which he remains annoyingly vague about. The EMF machinery allows Riley and Jacob to open a portal to the past, letting the duo explore the Garland Ghost town every decade in the past from the year 1,000 all the way up until 1990. However, to find the photographic evidence for Hank’s book, Riley and Jacob must travel to the year 1930.
In order to travel to 1930, the first EMF booster must be set to “3,” as it is the three in 1930.
The second EMF booster must be set to “9,” as it is nine in 1930. Use the radio to open the time anomaly and enter the doorway to the past.
Back in 1930, Riley and Jacob will encounter a man sitting on a bench. You can greet him with dialogue options ranging from the normal “Good Evening” to the wacky, “I’m From the Future!”

Regardless of dialogue choice, you will be able to take a picture of the ’30s denizen, completing the first half of Hank’s mission.
Upon returning the present, use channel 4 of the walkie-talkie to tell Hank that you took a picture. However, your work is not done, as he will also ask for you to find some physical evidence of ghosts. If you already have the shoe from Horseshoe Beach in your inventory, you can tell him “I have a shoe?” Otherwise, head back to the cave all the way across Camena and get it.

When you have obtained the shoe, Hank will instruct you to take it to his Lockbox, back at the Garland Ghost Town’s Post Office. Depositing the shoe into the Lockbox will complete the mission, allowing you to meet Hank’s wife via walkie-talkie, and will pop the silver “I’ve Had Weirder Jobs” PlayStation trophy.
