Weapons in Warhammer: Vermintide 2 already look great as is (especially when a bit of Skaven blood has been splashed on them), but sometimes it just isn’t the same as a previous weapon you once had. You might be longing for that particular pair of Dual Daggers you had on a lower-power weapon, yet thankfully, you can snag that back. Here’s how to equip weapon illusions in Vermintide 2.
How to Apply an Illusion to Your Weapon in Vermintide 2
First things first, head to Taal’s Horn Keep and select whatever character you want to apply a weapon illusion to. From there, go to your inventory (Equipment) and rather than entering Cosmetics as you might expect, head on over to Crafting. From there, select the Apply Illusion button and select the weapon you want to give an illusion to. Once that’s done, select the illusion you want to apply and apply it. It’s as simple as that.
If you either don’t have an illusion or don’t have one that you’re happy with, then getting more is easy enough. This can be done in one of two ways. The first is to complete certain Okri’s Challenges that award illusions. These tend to be rather difficult, so be ready for a challenge or a long run of Chaos Wastes if you plan to go this route. The other method, which is more direct, is to purchase it from Lohner’s Emporium of Wonders for either shillings or real money. The shillings offers are much easier to go with, as you can simply select your character, then subclass, then Weapon Illusions.

Weapon Illusions are great considering you stare at your character’s weapons 90% of the time. Once you get red-quality weapons, you’ll also get a nice glowing effect to make them even more snazzy. Glow in the dark rat killers are a lot more fun than the name implies.
