Pokémon Scarlet and Violet: The Teal Mask introduces Dipplin, the newest member of Applin’s evolutionary family. Like Flapple and Appletun, Dipplin needs a special item to evolve. That item is the Syrupy Apple, which can only be found in one place in The Teal Mask, unlike its Sweet and Tart counterparts that are on the ground.
Where to Find the Syrupy Apple to Evolve Applin into Dipplin in Pokémon The Teal Mask
To find the Syrupy Apple, you’ll need to go to the Mossfell Confluence, which is at the southeast end of the Kitakami map, past Reveler’s Road. There, you’ll find a hut that sells Syrupy Apples for 500 PokéDollars each. You’ll buy directly from the hut itself because no one is there to man to the store.
You’ll know you’re at the right place because of the nearby field, as well as a Trainer who even points out the special hut.
Although this isn’t the direction of the first signpost you have to go to as part of the DLC’s main story, you’re free to head there any time after defeating Kieran. It also isn’t very far from Mossui Town, so if you want to get a Dipplin right away, there’s very little stopping you from beelining towards the hut quickly after starting the DLC.
How to Evolve Applin into Dipplin in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet
To use the Syrupy Apple on Applin, go into your Other Items pocket in your Bag, and select the Syrupy Apple to use like you would the other apple items or an evolutionary stone.
Where to Find Applin in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
Applin itself can be found in the Scarlet and Violet base game. If you need to catch a new one, you can find them by bumping into the apple trees in the Apple Hills, the first area the game directs you towards after defeating Kieran and beginning the search for the signboards.
There are also plenty of Sweet and Tart Apples you can find here, too.
