How to Evolve Arrokuda into Barraskewda in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

Can't resist that smile.

Arrokuda is a Water-type Pokemon that’s been around since Generation 8, and makes another appearance in the waters of Paldea in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Sort of resembling a barracuda, the Arrokuda is a long fish with big eyes, upwardly pointing jaws, and five fins around its body. Its goofy smile and protruding jawline kind of reminds me of an Orc, and I have to imagine that they’d talk like one if they could speak. They kind of exhibit Orcish behavior, too, only being able to swim in straight lines and charging forward whenever they detect movement, though often missing their target due to poor eyesight. What a silly dude! Here’s how to evolve Arrokuda into Barraskewda in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

How to Evolve Arrokuda into Barraskewda in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

Evolving Arrokuda into Barraskewda is a pretty straightforward process and, thankfully, you won’t have to jump through any weird hoops to make it happen. No stockpiling special coins or eating apples under a full moon here.

Arrokuda will naturally evolve into Barraskewda once it reaches level 26. That’s already a pretty low level to hit, but if it’s taking longer than you’d like to get there, you’ve got plenty of ways to speed up the leveling process in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

Of course, there are normal battles in the wild, which you can speed up by using the Let’s Go auto-battling mechanic. There’s also Gym Battles and wild Pokemon Trainers, which will have you battling against multiple Pokemon, yielding even more experience for your roster. But the easiest method is by just feeding your Arrokuda XP Candies, which are found scattered around the Paldea region and rewarded after successfully completing Tera Raid battles.

Before you know it, your Arrokuda will become a Barraskewda, ready to terrorize the waters of Paldea and gobble up smaller aquatic life. I mean, probably.. they do look pretty mean.
