With so many Pokemon available in Scarlet and Violet, it’s no surprise that you’ll spend a good chunk of your time evolving them! Sometimes it’s accidental, while other times, you’ll spend a few minutes or hours leveling your Pokemon to their next evolution. It’s all part of the natural process, and the Nacli, Naclstack and Garganacl trio are no exception. If you’re interested in learning more, continue reading to discover how to evolve Nacli into Naclstack, and Naclstack into Garganacl, in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
How to Evolve Nacli into Naclstack and Garganacl in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet
If you’re starting with a Nacli, you can evolve it into Naclstack once it hits level 24. That’s right. You won’t need any specific items, and you don’t have to wait until a particular time of day. However, if you don’t feel like hopping into a bunch of battles constantly, there are a few different ways you can level your Pokemon:
- Use your Nacli or a high-level Pokemon in your party in Overworld auto-battling.
- Fight in regular Pokemon battles. While slower than auto-battling, you’ll gain more EXP per fight.
- Fight Trainers for large EXP boosts.
- Use EXP Candies on your Nacli for instant experience boosts. (Bag > Other Items > EXP Candies)
Once your Nacli reaches level 24, it’ll automatically evolve into Naclstack and learn Salt Cure! The adventure isn’t over yet, though. There’s still one more evolution!

How to Evolve Naclstack into Garganacl in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet
Similar to before, you’ll have to reach at least level 38 with your Naclstack to evolve it into Garganacl. Since you can’t encounter Garganacl in the wild, this is the only way to get this Pokemon into your party! Like with Nacli, you can auto-battle, fight Trainers and use EXP Candies on Naclstack to bring it to level 38. After hitting level 38, it’ll automatically evolve into Garganacl and learn Hammer Arm.
