How to Farm Technology Points in Palworld
If you had told me at the start of the game that Technology Points, not Ancient Civilization Points, would be the real end-game grind, I wouldn’t have believed you. But here we are. Technology Points can be obtained in four ways:
- Unlocking a waypoint for the first time.
- Defeating a Tower boss for the first time.
- Leveling your character.
- Technical Manuals.
The fastest way to unlock Technology Points is unlocking waypoints. But once you’ve defeated every tower boss and unlocked every waypoint, you’ll find that there are still a lot of items in your Technology Menu you don’t have access to. And the only way to obtain them is to find a lot of Technical Manuals. To find Technical Manuals, you have three options.
You can defeat or catch the following Pals, which have a chance of dropping a Technical Manual:
- Hoocrates – High Grade Technical Manual. Extremely rare.
- Katress – High Grade Technical Manual. Very rare.
- Wixen – High Grade Technical Manual. Very rare.
- Anubis – Innovative Technical Manual. Rare.
- Lyleen – Innovative Technical Manual. Rare.
- Lyleen Noct — Innovative Technical Manual. Rare.
- Shadowbeak – Innovative Technical Manual. Rare.
I’ve spent a considerable amount of time grinding out these Manuals from spawn and had the best bet with Lyleen, who can be found in Wildlife Sanctuary No. 3 at the very top right of the map.
The second option is to find a High Grade Technical Manual in chests. This has happened only once to me, and that was in the Wildlife Sanctuary No. 3. In all Wildlife Sanctuaries, the chests can drop high value items like Sapphire, Skill Fruit trees, and Schematics.
The third option, and the best option to farm Technology Points, is dungeons. Dungeons will have two chests at the end once you defeat or capture the boss. There is always a chance that they will drop a Technical Manual. This is true for level 13 dungeons all the way up to level 45 dungeons.
I recommend running through the Sand Dune area while hunting for dungeons. There’s a line of them. Unfortunately, dungeons work on a timer, so they may not always be there. But this will be the most efficient pathing for you.
Lower-level dungeons are most likely to drop High Grade Technical Manuals, which will grant you one Technology Point. But Level 40+ dungeons have a chance to drop Innovative Technical Manuals, which will give you two Technology Points.
