Moving between settlements can take a ton of time in Dragon’s Dogma 2 and sometimes it’s just better to fast travel so you can save yourself some resources. I’ll cover how you can teleport around the map and how the system works in this guide.
Dragon’s Dogma 2: How to Fast Travel
You must use a Ferrystone and select a Port Crystals location on the map to fast travel in Dragon’s Dogma 2. Compared to other games in the same genre, teleporting around the map is much harder to do and will require more resources. The first step to using this system is getting a Ferrystone. These are one-time-use consumables that are expensive and considered rare loot. But the good news is that they can be collected in numerous ways.
Completing quests, spending 10,000 Gold at a merchant, or looting chests are all ways that you can find Ferrystones in Dragon’s Dogma 2. As you play the game, you’re bound to keep finding more stones, and I was at nearly nine stones by the time I was level 24 on my Fighter. That might seem like a decent amount for a rare item, but it should also indicate just how finite the resource is. You don’t want to fast travel at any inconvenience.
How to Fast Travel in Dragon’s Dogma 2:
- Use a Ferrystone to teleport to a Port Crystal.
- Sleep on the Ox Cart in any major settlement.
Once you have a Ferrystone, you need to have a Port Crystal on the map and you need to be outside. Port Crystals are small purple stones that appear in major settlements, so you won’t find them in every POI on the map. Even when you fast-travel in Dragon’s Dogma 2, there’s still some walking involved.
Another option is to use the Ox Cart service in any town. When you jump onto an Ox Cart, you can pay around 200 Gold to travel with a small company. From there you can sit on the cart seat and choose to doze off. This will typically lead to at least one raid on the cart but it’s an easy way to skip time to the next settlement.
Start stocking up on more Ferrystones if you want easily fast travel later in Dragon’s Dogma 2.
