Weapon Workbenches and every other crafting station can be found in numerous spots around the Starfield, but finding one when you need it can be a tricky task. We’ve listed some of the Weapon Workbenches you can reliably find, and how you can place a Weapon Workbench in your ship.
Where to Find a Weapon Workbench in Starfield
You can find a Weapon Workbench in New Atlantis, Akila City, and Neon City. If we find any more locations for Weapon Workbenches, we’ll add them to this list.
Starfield: New Atlantis Weapon Workbench
You can find a Weapon Workbench in the basement of The Lodge building in New Atlantis. The Lodge is the main hub for the Constellation faction in the main story and is based out of the planet called Jemison. Fast travel directly to The Lodge is possible, and it makes accessing this bench in Starfield incredibly easy.
To reach The Lodge basement, you need to join their crew and receive the key to open the basement door. The entrance to the basement is on the right-hand side of the building when you first walk in. An easy way to find the entrance is to look below the only staircase in The Lodge. It leads directly to the full workshop.
The basement in the Lodge has nearly every crafting station you could want in Starfield, including the Weapon Workbench. Considering you also get a small room to store items in this building, it makes it a fantastic hub until you get more upgrades later in the game.
Once you have enough resources or Credits, you can add a Weapon Workbench to your personal ship (more on that in a moment). This will require you to add upgrades like a Workshop or a Science Lab, but it can save you tons of time after installing them. Until then, head to The Lodge or keep searching around outposts for when you need some upgrades.
Starfield: Akila City Weapon Workbench
You can find two Weapons Workbenches in Akila City. For the first one, head to Rowland Arms, which is located by the Akila City entrance, and the workbench will be inside of the shop. For the second one, you’ll need to head all the way to the back of the city. Go to Laredo Firearms, where you’ll find the weapons workbench.
Starfield: Neon City Weapon Workbench
The only Weapon Workbench in Neon City is in the weapon store Neon Tactical. Head over there and it should be located inside.
How to Place a Weapon Workbench in Your Ship
You’ll need to know how to place workbenches in your ship before using them. Here’s a brief guide on how to do that.
- Find a Ship Technician and click the “I’d like to view and modify my ships” option.
- Once you’re in the View Ship Menu, you’ll need to pick the Ship Builder menu next.
- Here, you’ll be able to individually select different modules of your ship and add Habitats. Click the “Add” button to get a list of habitats you can add.
- Next, select the Workshop Hab, where you’ll be able to add an Industrial Workbench. Check out the Stroud Workshop 2×1 for an all-in-one package that includes workbenches.
- Place the new module in your ship.
