Do you love desecrating graves? What if the grave in question has a magic ring in it? If that sounds right up your alley, here’s how to find the lost ring of Ellie May in Baldur’s Gate 3.
How to Find the Dead Wife’s Ring in Baldur’s Gate 3
Once you enter the shadow-cursed lands, you’ll quickly stumble upon a skeleton with an Unsent Letter. From this letter, you can glean some information about a particularly valuable grave that hosts a ring within.
And while gravedigging is both illegal and immoral, no one will blame you for wanting to pocket it for yourself. To that end, here’s how to find Ellie May’s grave and her ring.
Ellie May’s grave isn’t far from the skeleton with the Unsent Letter. It’s at the coordinates X: 97, Y: 131 at the Camp in the Shadow-Cursed Lands.
This is her husband’s camp, and he spent his time beside her. This is tragic, but it’s worth noting that the old man is nowhere to be seen. Likewise, Ellie May’s grave has been disturbed, meaning the ring is gone. But it hasn’t gone far.
Approach the cliff beside the grave, and if you pass a Perception Check, you’ll notice animal tracks. Follow them off the cliff, jumping down to the next platform.
Keep umping, and you’ll find yourself on a large stone outcrop. You’ll get another Perception check, and if you pass it, you’ll notice there’s a Burrow in the rock wall.
But if you fail both perception checks, it doesn’t really matter. You can still jump down and click on the burrow yourself; it just won’t be highlighted.
Examine the Burrow, and you’ll find the Family Ring within. Some creature who delights in shiny things must have taken it home.
The Family Ring offers +2 for Death Saving Throws. Unfortunately, that didn’t seem to save Elle May—poor dear.
Worth noting is that there’s a creep nearby called He Who Was. And he loves tormenting the dead. If you feel like tacking on another side quest, go talk to him.
