Space foxes truly have the most luxurious pelts

The most important material is naturally one of the hardest to find. I’m talking, of course, about Luxury Textiles. An essential material if you hope to craft the best, most decadent furniture in the galaxy. Here’s how to find Luxury Textiles in Starfield.

Where to Find Luxury Textiles in Starfield

You can spend hours, if not days, meticulously crafting your homestead in Starfield. But if you really want to make your house feel like a home, you’re going to need some Luxury Textiles. After all, they’re the only way you’re going to be able to make a giant L-shaped couch or craft a rug that’s at least fifteen feet long.

Fortunately, there are quite a few ways to get Luxury Textiles in Starfield. Here are all the possible sources for Luxury Textiles:

  • UC Distribution Center in the Commercial District of New Atlantis, Jemison, Alpha Centauri System.
    • Sells 2 – 3 at a time. Refreshes every 48 hours. Chair in front of the counter.
  • Souvenir Shop in New Homestead on Titan.
    • Sells 2 – 3 at a time. Refreshes every 48 hours.
  • The hills biome on Schrodinger III, in the Schrodinger System.
    • Harvest from the aggressive Swarming Foxbats found on this planet.

If you don’t mind waiting, the UC Distribution Center in the Commercial District is the easiest, most passive way to get Luxury Textiles. It’s also the slowest, as the vendor reloads sporadically.

The best source of Luxury Textiles in Starfield is the Swarming Foxbats of Schrodinger III. These Foxbats are large, aggressive, and move in packs. That means that for each pack you’ll find, you’re guaranteed to get at least three Luxury Textiles, if not more.

But if you’re low level, you may find that Swarming Foxbats are too hard-hitting for you. You can use damage resistance-increasing meds that can help make farming Luxury Textiles from these creatures easier. And in doing so, you’ll likely find that you’re leveling very fast.

Note that it’s easiest to find the Swarming Foxbats in the hills and mountain biome of the planet. To find out what biome you’re landing in, scan the planet as if you were scanning from resources. Then, select the place you’d like to land your plane.

Once you’ve selected a location, you’ll get the normal travel menu to the right of your screen. But now, this travel menu will also tell you what biome the landing zone is in.

Alternatively, Titan’s New Homestead isn’t an awful choice, but it’s the least efficient of the three. To get to the Souvenir Shop, head to the bottom floor and into the museum area. It’s to the far left side. But if you opt to go Titan, you can also get the unique (and ridiculous) monster costume, which will let you dress up as a tardigrade.
