There’s a strange, toxic allure to the scarlet sands of the Fields of Hatred. It’s a place to test your mettle, and your build, against anyone foolish enough to step up to you. Here’s how to find the Fields of Hatred in Diablo 4.
How to Find the Fields of Hatred in Diablo 4
Love them or hate them, the Fields of Hatred are one of the most exhilarating areas in Diablo 4. It’s the ultimate place to test your meticulously crafted build, reaction time, and ability to read your opponent. And there happen to be two areas where these crimson PvP areas can be found.
- Alzuuda in the Dry Steppes
- Denshar in Kehjistan
Both of these areas can only be found in the southwest region of Sanctuary. If you don’t have your horse unlocked yet, it can take quite a bit of time to get there. Once you find it, you’ll get a notification at the top of your screen telling you you’re entering a PvP area. At that point, you can kill and be killed as you please.
How to Get Red Dust Currency in the Fields of Hatred
Beyond the joy of killing your favorite players, there are other activities you can engage in that will help you get Seeds of Hatred, which can then be converted into Red Dust. Red Dust is the currency that will allow you to buy unique cosmetics only found in Alzuuda and Denshar. These cosmetics range from armor to mount pieces.
Here’s how to get Seeds of Hatred:
- Killing enemies (normal mobs – 40+, elite mobs 200+)
- Completing events (400)
- Killing the Seething Abomination wandering boss (1000 – 3000 )
- Killing your fellow players

The amount of Seeds of Hatred you’ll get from each activity will vary, as all Seeds can be picked up by any player. You might have completed the event, but if someone’s faster, they might have grabbed all the Seeds. Likewise, the players you kill will only drop the Seeds they currently have.
To get Red Dust, you’ll need to go to the Altar of Extraction, where you’ll find a relic in the center. Interact with the relic to start a ritual, and you’ll need to survive for 50 seconds in the circle of that Extraction Site. Leave the site and the ritual will fail. Survive, and your Seeds of Hatred will become Red Dust, which won’t drop on death.
But note, once you start a ritual, everyone in the area will be informed that you’re there.
