Choose the Kid Stuff Trait during character creation to get parents in Starfield. You must do this to have access to your parents during your playthrough. I tried to use the console command cheats to assign myself the perk at a later stage, but unfortunately, I wasn’t able to make it work.

The only way to find your parents in Starfield is to play the game from the start with the Kid Stuff Trait and to finish the The Old Neighborhood and One Small Step main missions.

After completing them, an NPC named Noel should approach you and pass you a Note From Dad. Only then will you be able to meet your in-game parents. If you ignore the message, your Dad will try to make contact again, expressing his disappointment in you.

Your parents are located in the Pioneer Tower, just a short distance from The Lodge. It’s fairly easy to spot. When you reach the ground level, you’ll see a sign that reads “Pioneer Tower.” All you need to do is walk straight into the elevator and head to their apartment complex. See the screenshot below for the exact tower.
