Warhammer 40K: Darktide may be a great game on its own, but it has its fair share of technical issues. Not just in terms of performance which is inconsistent for some, but in its connectivity and how easy it is to stay in the game. While some have run into very few issues, others have had nothing but endless troubles trying to stay in for a single round. One issue that began with yesterday’s 1.0.7 error has tripped some people up, though it began much earlier than that. Here’s how to fix error code 2003 in Warhammer 40K: Darktide.

What is the Disconnected From Server Error/Error Code 2003 in Darktide?

Error code 2003 can show up at just about any point while playing Darktide. It could show up while hanging out in the Mourningstar, during a mission, at the end of the mission, or even as you’re looking at the experience you just earned (though thankfully the progress is saved at that point). Any occurrences of this error will send you immediately back to the Operative Selection screen, so we understand the frustration. It’s also better known as the disconnected from server error among the community, an issue that’s been plaguing it since the pre-order beta’s launch.

As for how you can go about fixing it, there are several things you can try. The main trio of fixes involves the classic three restarts. By that, we mean trying to restart your game, restart your PC, and restart your router until one of them works. This tends to fix anything on your end at least, though sometimes doesn’t work. Another fix you can try, though it is a little more complicated, is to implement a VPN. This can be acquired from websites such as NordVPN, ExpressVPN, Surfshark, or whatever your preferred VPN provider is.

For what it’s worth, hopefully, what we suggested works for you. If you have another fix, be sure to let us know.
