There is no shortage of errors in Diablo 4, and to that end, we’ve got an endless array of error codes and hotfixes. One of the more common errors is ‘Your Account is Currently Locked’. Here’s how to fix that error in Diablo 4.
How to Fix ‘Your Account is Currently Locked,’ Error in Diablo 4
I’ve been kicked from Diablo 4 more times than I’d like to count, for a variety of reasons. But the most notorious error code plaguing players is the ‘Your Account is Currently Locked’ error that’s both booted players out of the game and prevented them from logging back in. But don’t worry – you’re not banned! It’s just a really poorly worded error notification.
Here are all the fixes we’ve found so far.
- Try closing the game completely and booting it up again.
- Check to see if Diablo 4 needs an update.
- If neither of the two above works, check the Diablo Twitter account to make sure there’s no maintenance.
- Try to log in at a later time.
- Reset your PC or console entirely.
Because Diablo 4 is pumping out endless hotfixes (I can’t complain, a healthy server is a happy server), it’s likely that this is the cause. Especially if you’re getting errors around midnight and later when the Diablo 4 team really seems to enjoy putting out those fixes. But it’s also possible that the server is overloaded, and you accidentally got booted.

We’ll see more hotfixes in the days ahead, as we’ve had one nearly every day so far. But did you know we already have our first set of balance patches? These changes were inspired by current builds, so check out the patch notes to see if your main got buffed or nerfed: Diablo 4 June 4 Update: Full Patch Notes Listed.
