How to Obtain a Free 5-Star Weapon in Wuthering Waves
To get a free five-star weapon in Wuthering Waves, you just need to reach Union Level 45. Once done, you can obtain the five-star Weapon Supply Chest, where you can choose between one of five weapons from the Winter Brume series. Those weapons are Lustrous Razor, Emerald of Genesis, Static Mist, Abyss Surges, and Cosmic Ripples. It’s also worth mentioning that by reaching Union Level 45, you’ll unlock other rewards in this event and receive exactly 1,600 Astrite, 40 Lustrous Tides, and 6 Crystal Solvent.
Obtaining the five-star weapon is part of Wuthering Waves’ Awakening Journey event, in which players can easily participate simply by playing the game. The longer you play, the more you will increase your Union Level and obtain rewards.
Which 5-Star Weapon Should You Choose?
Each weapon from the 5-Star Weapon Supply Chest represents the five weapon types in Wuthering Waves, and each includes a unique secondary stat and effect.

While all of the five weapons are perfectly fine to use, two of them provide a specific advantage worth noting – Critical Rate. The Critical Rate stat increases your chances of dealing Critical Damage, and because it’s an uncommon stat to find on weapons, it’s worth taking whenever you can.
We’d recommend choosing either the Static Mist (Pistols) or the Emerald of Genesis (Sword). Both of them provide an increase in Critical Rate, however, the number of characters that can equip swords is much larger than those that can equip pistols. This could easily change as future characters are introduced, but for now, the Emerald of Genesis is the more reliable of the two.
