How to Get an Arranged Marriage in BitLife
At first, the solution may seem simple: age up until your parents find a romantic partner for you and accept the marriage offer. While yes, this is the general gist of it, there is more to it.
One of the most important parts of getting into an arranged marriage is making sure you’re starting in the right country. If your character lives in regions like North America or Europe, your chances of finding these requests are low regardless of gender, age or relationship status.
Instead, there are specific countries that allow arranged marriages, with the list below including a few examples:
- Afghanistan
- Bolivia
- China
- DR Congo
- Georgia
- India
- Iran
- Israel
- Japan
- Mongolia
- Nigeria
- Pakistan
- Saudi Arabia
While you’re not guaranteed to get into an arranged marriage, these countries give you much higher odds of it happening. From my experience, I’ve made characters in countries like Japan and India and had arranged marriages occasionally appear, while it has never happened for my American characters.

Finding the Arranged Marriage Request
Once you create your character in one of these countries, age up and live life as usual. Eventually, you’ll find a screen telling you your parent is trying to arrange your marriage to someone. From here, you can either agree or refuse to marry the person.
If you agree, your parents will be happy, and you’ll get a new romantic partner. However, refusing can lead to your parent insisting and even demanding you marry the person, which you can still say no to if you want. Refusing drops your relationship with your parent, so be careful if you don’t want to upset them!
