Dealing with monsters in Lethal Company is a painful experience, often resulting in death, which is why it’s a good idea to get your hands on a weapon as soon as possible. Here’s how to get and use a shovel in Lethal Company.
How to Get the Shovel in Lethal Company
You can purchase a shovel using your ship’s terminal for 30 scrap. To access the shop and buy a shovel, type store into the terminal before entering the shovel and confirm. It will appear in your next batch of purchases when you land on the moon.
The best time to buy supplies like shovels, flashlights, and walkie-talkies is after selling your items at your company’s moon!
Once you buy the shovel, a supply ship will plummet to your planet’s moon near your ship, dropping your items to the floor and flying away. It will also play a jingle as it descends, notifying you of its arrival. Here, you can pick up your shovel and add it to your inventory, allowing you to store it for later or use it on your next mission.
How to Use the Shovel in Lethal Company
In Lethal Company, a shovel is a powerful weapon to slay monsters. More specifically, you can use it on specific enemies to temporarily knock them out or kill them, allowing you to progress through a facility with less stress.
In particular, the enemies listed below are vulnerable to shovel attacks in Lethal Company:
- Snare fleas – 1-3 hits
- Thumpers – 4-6 hits
- Hoarding bugs – 2-4 hits
- Bunker spiders – 4-6 hits
- Bracken / Flower Man – 4-6 hits
- Manticoils – 1 hit
- Spore Lizard – 4-6 hits
- Flower Men – 2-3 hits
- Eyeless Dog – Make sure to stun this enemy first.
In contrast, some enemies, like Coil-Heads,Jesters, and Forest Giants, are invulnerable to shovel attacks. Using the shovel on these monsters is futile; you’ll have to resort to other methods to escape them, even if that’s running away in fear.
Where to Find the Sign Post
The Sign Post weapon is pretty similar to the Shovel and is also handy for close encounters. You can find this randomly generated around the world and among scrap and salvage you find. You’ll also be able to sell each sign post weapon you find.
