Monster Hunter Rise has a ton of materials that need to be collected from Monsters. You’ll use those to turn your weapons into Monster slaying machines. Of course, sometimes you’ll need to hunt the right creature or meet certain criteria. Here’s how to get commendations in Monster Hunter Rise.
How to Get Commendation in Monster Hunter: Rise
In order to obtain Commendations, which are a resource used for gear, you’ll need to do one of two things.
First completing low-rank gathering hub quests. Anything 3 stars or under, but specifically only ones that have you hunting two monsters at a time. If you do low-rank hunts with only one target, you won’t get the Commendation for completion.
The other way to get commendations in Monster Hunter Rise is to complete 6-star Village quests. Again, these need to be the ones that offer two monsters as the target.
If you continually repeat these quests over and over again you’ll be able to rack up a ton of commendations. It will still take a decent amount of time because these fights aren’t pushovers, but it’s a simple and consistent way to keep acquiring commendations.

Village quests tend to be faster than the gathering hub quests, so it’s better to focus on those unless you’re looking for some variety in your fights. Below is a list of all of the quests you can do.

- 3 Stars: Beastly Chaos

- 3 Stars: Heart of a Warrior
- 6 Strs: Like a Flash of Lightning

- 6 Stars: Special License Quest 3
