If there’s one gun that’s certainly a gun, it’s D.A.R.C.I. And if, for some reason, you want it then I’m here to help. Here’s how to get D.A.R.C.I. in Destiny 2.
How to Get D.A.R.C.I. in Destiny 2
Before we even get started, if you’ve been playing Destiny 2 for quite some time, be sure to check your vault. D.A.R.C.I. is one of the Exotic weapons that has been in the game since year one, and it’s possible that you’ve picked it up without even knowing.
A quick way to do that is to use one of the many vault apps that Destiny 2 offers, each of which is incredibly useful, especially if you have more than one character. Destiny Item Manager is a good choice, and it’s what I use.
But if you’re confident that you don’t have this sniper rifle, then getting it all boils down to luck. Like most year-one exotics, D.A.R.C.I. is part of the world loot pool. You can find it as an extremely rare drop in playlist activities or just playing randomly. So, pick your favorite activity and hope for the best.
But once you do get D.A.R.C.I., you might wonder how good it really is.

D.A.R.C.I.’s best feature is that it looks really cool. But beyond that, this Exotic Heavy Sniper Rifle doesn’t have much utility in either PvP or PvE. Its Exotic Perk, Personal Assistant, lets you see how much health an enemy has when you aim down your scope at it. And when Personal Assistant is active, D.A.R.C.I. has better target acquisition, deals significantly more precision damage, and jolts the target.
But when compared to other Heavy weapons, its damage just isn’t that significant. Perhaps if it was a Kinetic or Energy weapon, it wouldn’t frequently top lists of the most forgotten or worse Exotic weapons available.
