Payday 3 is right around the corner, set to break down the doors on September 21 for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. Needless to say, fans of the series such as myself are very excited to hop in and experience it, since it looks to be improving heavily on Payday 2’s core gameplay. That excitement may make you wonder if you can play a little sooner than that release date. Thankfully, you’re in luck. Here’s how to get early access to Payday 3.
How to Play Payday 3 Early
It’s important to note that early access to Payday 3 will not come for free. Instead, getting early access entails purchasing one of the more expensive editions of Payday 3. If you want in on the early access period of Payday 3, you’re going to have to pay up.

Those who purchase Payday 3 in either the Silver or Gold editions of the game will be able to play the game three days early on September 18, letting them get an edge over those who buy the base game. The Silver edition sets you back an additional $20 over the base version, while the Gold edition will cost an extra $30.
While that sounds like a lot of money for a few days of early access, that isn’t all you’ll snag. Purchasing either edition will get you access to a few more nice-looking masks, a pair of gold gloves for Gold edition owners, and differing amounts of season pass content. After the three days of early access is up, you shouldn’t feel like you have nothing left to show for it.
