The First Descendant has several resources used for crafting Descendants. Some resources are used for two or more Descendants, making them a hotter commodity than the others. Encrypted Neural Circuits is one of them, and here’s how you can get it in The First Descendant.
Where to Farm Encrypted Neural Circuits in The First Descendant
Encrypted Neural Circuits drop from multiple areas and monsters, but they are all condensed in one location. You can find them in the Echo Swamp on Normal difficulty. They drop from monsters in the following missions:
- Hazy Swamp
- Environment Contamination Zone
- Abandoned Zone
- Arche Motion Sensor
- Verdant Greenery
- Emergency Landing Strip
Each mission has an “estimated playtime” when you hover over them. The fastest missions to finish would be Arche Motion Sensor or Environment Contamination Zone. Since you will farm multiple missions to get these Encrypted Neural Circuits, you might as well finish the fast ones multiple times.
Unlike other activities, you can run these missions non-stop. When you start playing the missions above, you’ll only get the Encrypted Neural Circuits once you have completed the mission. You can view the mission summary after finishing the mission to check if you obtained any Encrypted Neural Circuits. You should get around 3-5 pieces on average.
What Are Encrypted Neural Circuits Used For?
Here are some of the research requests you can finish using the Encrypted Neural Circuits:
- 32x – Valby Spiral Catalyst
- 73x – Ultimate Bunny Enhanced Cells
This research takes a few hours to finish, so it is best to start farming the materials and bulk to research all the materials preemptively. For example, the Valby Spiral Catalyst is just one of four materials you need to unlock the new Descendant, Valby.
When farming materials like these, you can switch to your lower-level Descendants so you can at least level a character up while farming.
