Destiny 2’s Festival of the Lost has begun. This Halloween-themed event adds a spooky new armor set and several weapons. While most weapons return from previous years, they have had some updates. An example is Horror Story, which used to be a Kinetic auto rifle but is now a Stasis weapon. So how do you get Horror Story in Destiny 2, and what are its best perks?
How to Get Horror Story in Destiny 2
For the most surefire way to get Horror Story, you must first unlock the event card from Eva Levante by completing steps in the Classic Carving quest. Once you have the event card and all of its challenges, there is one that will get you a guaranteed drop of Horror Story: Automatic Transmission.
To complete Automatic Transmission, you need to get kills with auto rifles. 300 PVE kills are required, while PVP kills grant bonus progression. Once you have completed the challenge, redeem it from the event card to get a guaranteed Horror Story.
You can get further rolls of Horror Story by completing Haunted Lost Sectors, which have a high chance of dropping the weapon. You can also get rare Eerie Engrams in the activity, which can be focused on Horror Story by visiting Eva Levante. Finally, you can spend Candy to get Epic Mystery Grab Bags from Eva, which is less likely to contain the weapon.
Horror Story God Roll in Destiny 2
While there are plenty of potentially powerful options for your Horror Story, one of the best rolls is found below:
Barrel: Arrowhead Brake
Magazine: Flared Magwell
Perk: Demolitionist
Perk: Target Lock
While Target Lock has been nerfed a little, especially in PVP, it is still a powerful perk that is consistently active to provide a damage buff. Demolistist will allow you to charge your grenades as rapidly as possible and give you a free reload whenever you throw one.
Target Lock could be replaced with Headstone if you want to use this weapon in a build with Stasis Crystals in mind.
So now you know how to get Horror Story and its best rolls. Why not find out how to get Manifested Pages quickly to progress through the Event Title?
