Manufactured components are some of the most complicated resources in Starfield. While you can craft them, finding the required recipes and materials is challenging. Exotic resources are among the most difficult, so we’re here to help you with one. To learn more, continue reading to discover how to get Microsecond Regulators in Starfield.
Where to Find Microsecond Regulator in Starfield
There are three ways to get a Microsecond Regulator in Starfield:
- Purchase from vendors.
- Crafting at an Industrial Workbench.
- Scavenge storage containers and enemies.
For those still in the early game or with zero access to exotic manufacturing at the Industrial Workbench, purchasing Microsecond Regulators at shops like Trade Authority stores or Jemison Mercantile in New Atlantis is the easiest way to get your hands on this rare material. To find it, head into the resource section and scroll until you see it. If it doesn’t appear, wait on a bench for 24 hours before rechecking the list.

Occasionally, you can find Microsecond Regulator as a random, rare drop from enemies and storage containers. However, since it is an exotic component, it’s rarer than common materials and components. Be sure to check any containers you find to see if you can get it as a lucky drop!
Depending on how many points you’ve invested into science, you may also be able to craft the Microsecond Regulator at your Industrial Workbench. However, this requires unlocking Special Projects rank three, which you’ll find at the bottom of the Science skill tree. While it takes a lot of points to get here, it gives you an alternative option if you don’t wish to spend credits on the item.
What Are Microsecond Regulators Used for in Starfield?
Microsecond Regulators are an exotic manufactured component used to complete research projects and crafting. I first encountered it as a required material for the Receiver Mods project. While it isn’t used as often as items like adhesive or sealant, you’ll still find it in recipes occasionally as you browse weapon mods and projects.
