One of the most enjoyable parts of playing any video game, including The Sims 4, is taking pictures. You can snap photos of anything, from your character and house to the food you made a few minutes ago. However, if you want to hide the game’s UI or get a specific camera angle, you’ll have to swap to Free Camera mode before going back and continuing with your playthrough. Turning free camera mode off requires pressing TAB on your keyboard, the PlayStation controller’s O button, or the Xbox controller’s B button. If you want to turn this mode back on, select the camera icon in the top corner of your screen and pick the Free Camera. You can also use this in the build menu to make it easier to design your lot.

From here, you can use your controller’s analog stick or your computer’s WASD keys and mouse to move around your lot and change your camera angle. You can also zoom in and out, capturing details that would typically be challenging to see in the regular camera.

What Does Free Camera Mode Do in The Sims 4?

Free camera mode is a feature in The Sims 4 that allows you to hide the game’s UI to take cinematic screenshots. While your character’s green Plumbob will still appear above their head, you can disable this using the headlineeffects off cheat. From here, you can move the camera around freely and get angles you usually wouldn’t get with the regular Sims 4 camera.
