If you’re looking to get a jetpack in Slime Rancher 2, you’ll need some Radiant Ore. While getting the other pre-requisite, Phosphor Plorts, isn’t the most challenging task in the world, obtaining the ore is confusing if you’re unsure where to start looking or how to get the item. How to Get Radiant Ore in Slime Rancher 2
Before going out and searching for Radiant Ore, take the following steps to make sure you don’t backtrack later:
- Head back to your Conservatory and go to the Fabricator.
- Under Updates, select the first option to find the Resource Harvester.
- Make sure you upgrade this resource harvester as soon as you can!
To upgrade the Resource Harvester, you need the following materials:
- Newbucks x450 – Sell plorts at the Plort Market!
- Cotton Plort x10 – Feed Cotton slimes to get these plorts. Give them Water Lettuce to get two plorts per lettuce.

After obtaining the Resource Harvester, head out and search for Radiant Ore. Head to either Ember Valley or Starlight Strand and look for small, crystalline formations near the mountainsides. These are Radiant Ore nodes, which you can suck up with your vacpack to get some ore.
Once you’ve gotten your hands on some Radiant Ore, you can toss it into the Refinery to go towards your jetpack funding. After getting ten Radiant Ore and Phosphor Plorts alongside 450 Newbucks, you can get a jetpack and start flying all around the island! Or, at the very least, fly up some ledges you can’t jump onto.
