Pickaxes are an important tool in LEGO Fortnite, as they help players break down large rocks and other stones for buildings. The Rare Pickaxe is an upgraded version of the basic Pickaxe, and players should try to upgrade to that version so that it will break much less.
How to Obtain Rare Pickaxe in LEGO Fortnite
Players can get the Rare Pickaxe by making it at the Crafting Bench for three Flexwood Rods and three Sand Claws. Some enemies may even drop the tool if they wield it, but crafting it is a more guaranteed method and comes with maximum durability.
However, players will need to build the Rare Crafting Bench before making a rare pickaxe. The rare version of the workstation is an upgrade to the Uncommon Crafting Bench, which is also an upgrade to the basic Crafting Bench. So you will need to build the Crafting Bench and upgrade it twice to get access to the Rare Pickaxe recipe.

How to Create the Rare Crafting Bench in LEGO Fortnite
The Crafting Bench can be built near the start of the game and only costs three Wood and three Granite. Players can then upgrade the Crafting Bench at the workstation itself to the Uncommon rarity for eight Planks and three Shells.
The Rare Crafting Bench will require much more resources to upgrade to, including:
- 12 Knotwood Rods.
- 15 Marble Slabs.
- Six Sand Claws.
- Three Sand Shells.
It will take some exploring in the grasslands, caves, and coastal areas to gather all these supplies. You will also need the Lumber Mill machine to turn Knotwood into Knotwood Rods. In the meantime, keep crafting Uncommon Pickaxes until you have enough to upgrade the Crafting Bench.
