Warhammer 40K: Darktide may be a game some are only scratching the surface on, but that doesn’t stop the achievement-hunting folk from going for 100% completion regardless. There may be surprisingly difficult challenges and a lot of achievements for a game like Darktide, but they’ll still try. One that seems to be giving a lot of people trouble is Abhor the Mutant, though we’re here to clear some things up and hopefully reduce some headaches (including an important reason why you might not be getting it). Why You’re Not Getting the Abhor the Mutant Achievement in Darktide

There are a few reasons why you might not be getting the achievement. While we’d normally start with detailed steps on what you need to do, reports around the internet are talking about the achievement being bugged and not rewarding credit despite the challenge being completed. A few workarounds have involved the wording, such as when having both your dash and the mutant’s charge at the same time, and simply trying over and over until you get it. It isn’t the most convenient solution, but it’s likely the only one you’ve got.

As for those of you who simply don’t know what to do, allow me to explain. To get Abhor the Mutant, you’ll want to dash as Zealot as a Mutant is charging you or a teammate. This should be done with a melee weapon specializing in heavy hits such as a hammer. You should also allow your allies to wear him down a bit before you go in for the kill. As a bonus, having friends here can ensure no one kills the Mutant before you get the finishing blow.

If all that isn’t enough, some feats around your dash could make the process just a bit easier. If you have access to Bloodletting at Level 10, Rising Conviction at Level 25, or Purge the Wicked at Level 30, any of those could help speed things up. Keep trying, and you should get it eventually.
