Where to Find the Splintering Aspect in Diablo 4

You can find the Splintering Aspect in two ways:

  • Clear the Guulrahn Slums dungeon in Dry Steppes
  • Visit an Occultist and extract the Aspect from legendary gear

Clearing the Guulrahn Slums dungeon guarantees access to the Aspect anytime through your Codex of Power. However, its stats will be the lowest they can be, so it is worth looking around for legendary equipment with higher percentages or status effect durations.

Guulrahn Slums Dungeon Location in Diablo 4

Guulrahn Slums is located near the Hidden Overlook in the Dry Steppes, which you’ll visit during the game’s third campaign act. The Waypoint is directly south of Fate’s Retreat and southwest of Menestad. You can also head into your Codex of Power and select the Splintering Aspect to find a direct path to the dungeon from your current location.

As a quick example, below is a path from Fate’s Retreat to the Guulrahn Slums dungeon.

What Does the Splintering Aspect Do in Diablo 4?

Splintering is an Offensive Aspect exclusive to the Necromancer class. The Aspect causes Bone Spear’s primary attack to inflict vulnerability onto any enemies hit after the first for at least 1.5 seconds. As well, Bone Shards from Bone Spear will deal at least an additional 30% bonus damage to vulnerable enemies and pierce them.

In other words, if you’re a necromancer with a bone build, this Aspect will be right up your alley.

Diablo 4 is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. To learn more about the game, check out our Diablo 4 Shifting City dungeon’s location and guide, or click the Diablo IV tag below to explore our growing content collection!
