In BitLife, becoming an astronaut and exploring space is a challenging feat that takes years for our characters to accomplish. Rising the ranks and visiting other planets takes even longer, and more often than not, you’ll have to spend a lot of time doing other things first. Life in space is tough, so I’m here to help make things easier. To learn more, continue reading to discover how to go to Mars in BitLife.
How to Go on a Mars Mission in BitLife
To go on Mars missions as an astronaut in BitLife, you must work hard and gain enough promotions to become a General. At this rank, you’ll be qualified to go on Mars missions through the in-game missions menu.
If you attempt this before receiving your promotion to General, you’ll find a denial message telling you you need clearance to go to Mars.
When you first become a cadet in the Space Program, you’ll want to start by conducting research experiments and going on spacewalk missions to boost your reputation. Searching for cosmic anomalies and transmitting messages to aliens is also a great way to create high-quality peer-reviewed papers, raising your chances of getting a promotion.

As you climb the ranks, you’ll unlock deep-space research probes and moon exploration, allowing you to find artifacts and celestial bodies for which you can publish papers. Like before, these all increase your reputation, which you’ll need to get promoted. Think of all these things as the “Work Hard” button in regular jobs!
From here, you’ll mainly have to wait a few in-game years for the program to recognize your potential and value. After some time, you’ll naturally gain those promotions and unlock more space missions, including visiting Mars.
